BOOK BLURB

Twelve-year-old Georgia believes her toothless rescue dog is psychic. With a spin of a Magic 8 Ball, Chester predicts the future with a high degree of probability. He assures Georgia the ā€œoutlook is goodā€ for her parentsā€™ troubled marriage. He wows her math class by predicting heads or tails with the toss of a coin. But when the stakes are life or death, Georgia must learn the difference between magic and probability and find her own powers to increase the likelihood of a happy ending.

MY REVIEW.

Chester and the Magic 8 Ball is a story about twelve-year-old Georgia and her dream of owning a dog. Chester is an adorable toothless pooch who can answer questions and predict the future through Georgiaā€™s magic 8 ball. However, there is so much more to this story.

Lynn Katz writes about sensitive topics such as marital breakdown, friendships, jealousy, and health issues within this cute and touching storyline. We see how these challenges are faced through the eyes of Georgia.

This well-written and thoughtful book handles lifeā€™s trials with sympathy, tact and feeling.

Thank you, NetGalley and Black Rose Writing, for my digital arc in exchange for my honest review.
